YOU WON'T BE HAPPY SEEING IT JUST ONCE!

We saw this last year in NYC (husband and I along with 27 yo son). I did much research before choosing Beautiful. The reviews were all 5*. People who saw multiple plays during their nyc visit loved this best. Her story is fascinating and the songs/music are fabulous. Hadn't realized that she and her husband wrote many songs sung by Motown bands, etc., and loved that these groups were part of the play. At one point I became so enthusiastic I wanted to start clapping to the music! I loved it so much I was tempted to go back to New York just to see it again - so glad it's coming to the Burgh!

FANTASTIC SHOW

This show brought back so many memories of my youthful days. Enjoyed it immensely from the beginning to the end. So much enthusiasm and energy on stage from all of the actors. Brought two 20 + year olds with us to watch it (there were 14 of us) and they enjoyed it immensely as well. A must see musical!

BEAUTIFUL, A DEFINITE MUST SEE!

Saw this yesterday at the Fisher Theatre with my 22 year old daughter. She enjoyed it as much as I did and was surprised by how much of the music she recognized. She even commented that she would love to see it again and put it to the top of her list of favourites.

I LAUGHED I CRIED

I laughed, I cried and I fell in love all over again. I didn’t know her story but I had always loved the music and now I know why. It came from her soul. Don’t miss this treasure of music you never knew the back story to. Don’t debate just go.

HOW OLD?

Just a question: do you think the show would be inappropriate for a 8 year old? Anyone who has see it please respond. Thank you.

BLOWN AWAY

I remember Carole King's Tapestry album from my high-school days. It isthe soundtrack to many of my memories of the time. I had no idea though of the prolific talent of Carole King - writing songs for the Shirelles, Bobby Vee, Aretha Franklin and others BEFORE embarking on her own career as a performer. The show cleverly weaves her emergence as a writer and, later, as a performer with exceptional engagement across changing tastes in music and her own growth and challenges with a difficult marriage. At times I laughed, at times I had tears in my eyes but I enjoyed this show like no other. It was Beautiful!!

"BEAUTIFUL" AT THE MARRIOTT THEATRE: A HEARTFELT TRIUMPH!

"Beautiful: The Carole King Musical" at the Marriott Theatre is a masterclass in musical theatre. It brilliantly intertwines Carole King's compelling life story with her iconic music, delivered by a stellar cast whose performances are as authentic as they are powerful. The production quality, from the set design to the period-perfect costumes, immerses the audience in the era. BEAUTIFUL REVIEW

Understandably this is not the NYC Broadway production. This is what someone kept reminding me of after seeing the local performance. While the spirit of the play and story were flawless and inspiring, many of the singers lacked the presence, neatness, appearance, and talent to be used in this or any play.

FLAWLESS Inspiring remarkable

What a remarkable, NATURAL WOMAN! Totally inspiring.

In 2018, we are not surprised by the teenyboppers moving through the music industry at a rapid rate producing hit songs, and then disappearing from the limelight almost as quickly as they shot to fame. However, in the late 1950s, it was certainly a surpr
